S/34 to 5280 direct attach project. Participated in the System Interconnect (SI) architecture activity. Designed the instruction fetch control logic chip for the S/36-5360 MSP (Main Store Processor, CPU) control logic.
- SENIOR ASSOCIATE ENGINEER (8/80-2/84) - Lead designer and developer of S/36-5362 Auto Configure program (program to support and allow customers to install computer feature cards, which previously was done only by IBM Customer Engineers). Responsible
for the Customize program (link-loader) on S/36-5360, 5362, and S/34 (maintenance). Had chip and card design and release responsibility for S/36-5360 MSP CPU control Logic.
- STAFF ENGINEER (2/84-2/85) - Engineering software architecture and integration responsibility on S/36-5364. Supervised several engineers doing the code development and integration. Coordinated engineering software display text translation
activities. Interfaced to the Manufacturing Final System Test Group and Information Development (publications development).
- February 1985 - December 1986: IBM SPD Headquarters - White Plains, NY
- CHAIR ASSIGNMENT (STAFF ENGINEER, Development Productivity) Coordinated the participation of IBM in the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration's study of The Impact of Electronic Network on Management Communication. Primary interface with
outside consultant in conducting a study for SPD of Software Development Methodologies. Participated in the administration of the SPD Development Function Strategy (DFS). Established and administrated the SPD Development Ideas (DEVIDEAS) Conference Disk.

- Member of a systems architecture group investigating the platforming of one computer system architecture on top of another computer architecture.

- Until appointment to management, led a small software team which added right-to-left language (Hebrew, Arabic) support to work station terminal emulator software.

- Managed the Workstation Feature software development department at IBM, Rochester, MN. This department, made up of 11 programmers and 3 engineers, developed the IBM AS/400 terminal emulator, OS/2 version software that is bundled in the IBM OS/2
Extended Edition software product for personal computers. As manager of that project, was a member of a world-wide IBM OS/2 development management team and participated in the monthly OS/2 worldwide project management meetings.
- April 1990 - Present: Owner of DELTEK DEVELOPMENT, an Engineering Consulting Business
- Started and operated DELTEK DEVELOPMENT, an engineering design and development business. Primary customer was CROPSCAN, Inc. Designed and developed the electronics, software, and documentation for the latest CROPSCAN multispectral
radiometer and data acquisition systems.
- December 1992 - present: President and General Manager, CROPSCAN, Inc.
- Manage and operate CROPSCAN, Inc., a small business that develops, manufactures, and markets Multispectral Radiometers and Data Logger Controller systems, primarily for use at agricultural universities and research institutes around the
world.
